President's Rule in Maharashtra??

It was first done in 1980 when the Govt. was dismissed in spite of Sharad Pawar enjoying majority support in the Assembly. In 2014, Govt. was dismissed since Congress separated from its allies NCP and others. Lastly in 2019, no party could form a government after a fractured election verdict and Shiv Sena broke the pre-poll alliance it had with the BJP. Given the current situation in Maharashtra, is it time for President’s Rule to be imposed again ? What is the President’s Rule? Article 356 of the Constitution of India gives President of India the power to suspend the state government and impose President’s Rule of any state in the country if “if he is satisfied that a situation has arisen in which the government of the state cannot be carried on in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution”. The Final Sermon and Stories to inspire delivered 1400 years back and why it's still remembered even today. Right at the end of his life and in his very final moments The Prophet may the mercy and blessing of God be upon him (Pbuh) said "The prayer, the prayer! And fear your lord with regard to those whom your right hands possess.”  That defined him, even in his final moments he is caring for those who are with him and those to come after, for indeed he wasn't only send to Muslims but for the whole of human kind and he knew if we prayed 5times a day it would remind us of whom we ought to return and why we were living in the first place. As I walked ahead looking for transportation, I witnessed a horrific sight of middle-aged men paying and picking up child prostitutes. That spectacle disturbed and aggravated me but made me feel helpless at the same time. Back then, I was 17 years old, living a regular college student’s life but till date that moment haunts me. After days of research and discussion with parents, I decided to volunteer for an NGO that helped children, young girls and women in prostitution. Our primary objective was not to rescue these people from the red light districts in liaison with the police force. Instead, it was providing them with child care, vocational education and training, corporate fund raising for running rehabilitation centers, organize health ch

Are you happy? Are you human?

One of the greatest American authors once said…. “No human being can continue for long to exist sanely under conditions of absolute reality.” - Shirley Jackson For me, personally, the above quote makes a lot of sense and gives a new perspective to view life. The first question that comes to my mind is how do we spend our entire lifetime? Figuring out life? Meeting personal and professional needs? Dealing with societal pressure? Sacrificing passion (love) for survival (money)? Living the routine stressful life? Searching for a life partner? Earning to provide a living for us and our dependents? Spending to live a luxurious life? Trying to achieve fame, money, respect and eventual greatness? Living in our own world? Functioning on terms of success and failure? Learning, Unlearning and Relearning? Helping out our close ones in times of need? Surprisingly, we also spend our lives not valuing human life, not valuing time, hurting and losing people, not caring and bother
